Vanteve is a product of HeyGov, Inc. We build software for local government, and only local government. It’s all we’ve ever done: our roots in govtech go back to 2007, and today more than 1,300 local governments across the country run on our products.
Every government runs through one office.
Whether it’s a county of a million, a city of 200,000, or a village of 2,000, the work of local government runs through the clerk’s office. Records. Elections. Licenses. Meetings. The counter and the phone. Some clerks lead a staff of 20, others wear 20 hats. Either way, nothing moves without them.
Here’s the strange part: most govtech companies sell to purchasing departments and call the clerk an “end user.” We think that’s backwards. So we made a decision that still runs this company: the clerk is our client. City, county, or village. Whatever the size.

Do you really build software for clerks?
Really. Most govtech companies sell to IT directors, city administrators, whoever holds the purse strings, and they start calling right around budget season. We build for the front line of local government: the people answering the counter, running the meetings, and keeping the records. And because everything we make is intuitive to use and priced for a real budget, you can start today instead of waiting on a procurement cycle for a maybe.
